This design is probably one of my favorites just because of the sheer nostalgia factor. I can still remember the days in very early grade-school when every novel thing that my classmates might've discovered that particular day became the next BIG CRAZE.
This day I recall the electricity that my classmates spoke with this new candy that was the most sour thing you've ever eaten in your LIFE! We all tried to see who could keep it in their mouth the longest without wincing or watering eyes. To this day, I still don't think I've eaten a more sour mainstream candy.
Every single flavor IS. A. BANGER! Though for some reason, Black Cherry will always be my favorite. Green Apple and Watermelon get honorable mention. Lemon was a challenge, I shudder at the memory of that one.
Anyways, that's a short little write up of the candy that inspired this design. I had a lot of fun with this one because that unnamed candy has such a special place in my core memories of a place I otherwise dreaded (school). I think subversion and button-pushing just comes so naturally to me and this design is no different. I really love how I used so many elements from the original design. How many can you count?
